About Francesco
Born in Benevento, Italy, Francesco Meoli is many things. He would call himself a jack of all trades, master of some, since music production, composition and arrangements are his natural language.
His background as a classical pianist (trained at the National Conservatory of Lisbon) deeply shapes his imagination and musical language.
Besides his love for pianos and vintage instruments, he is also a full time producer, musician and composer, spending his time between the studio and stages.

As a music producer and composer, he is driven by an intuitive search for melodies that feel coherent, cinematic, and emotionally charged, often blending orchestral sensibilities with lo-fi textures, jazz, bossa nova, and dreamy, slightly unpolished electronic atmospheres.
Over the years he has collaborated with some of the biggest artists in the Portuguese music scene and is behind some major radio hits. As a music director for Portuguese band D.A.M.A, he received the award for Best Live Performance at the Iberian Festival Awards in 2016, and Best National Act at the Prémios Nova Era in 2017.

Under his artistic alias nāga, he released the EPs Call When You Get To The Moon (2021) and Hertz from the Heart (2023).
In 2020 he produced and composed “Sem Tempo / Com Tempo” with Portuguese artist Janeiro.
In May 2025, after many months at the studio, Portuguese artist Sandrino launched his first EP “Ser” — produced by Francesco and the first external EP launched under follow the frequencies as a label.
Together with Portuguese artist Sandrino, he co-wrote (lyrics and music) the song Disposto a Tudo, one of the finalists of Festival da Canção 2026.
He is fascinated by true creativity, mastery and coherent self expression, using his intuition and experience to help artists unlock their potential and become more resonant.

On more recent years, Sound Design and Sound for Advertising have become part of his musical exploration journey. Not only he is extremely adaptable, he has a special and natural inclination to musicalise images and video, and make coherent sounds to amplify them.
As music is also a natural way of amplifying the frequency of any work of art, what drives him is creating a soundtrack so vivid and alive that you can picture an entire scenario in your mind.
Experiencing the world with the eyes closed can be just as powerful — if not more — than seeing it.
The purpose behind the music he creates is to somehow “see through sound”;
To translate the elegance, organic movement, and life itself into high-definition audio.
To transform what his eyes perceive (or are capable of perceiving) into sound, carrying the same emotional (and visually perceptive) weight.
He has created sound for brands such as Samsung, BMW, Coca-Cola, TBLX, Sprite, HEAD and Nissan and has contributed with keyboards and composition to Spanish and Portuguese film productions, including Tiro e Queda, Quero-te Tanto and A Pequena Suíça.
At its core, what moves him is the capture of movement, colour and texture through melody, harmony, rhythm, and resonance.
Sound design for podcasts is also something that he is passionate about — giving a specific sound and feel to that piece of content.

In a world where anyone can make music — all you need is access to a computer or a stock music platform — it takes a certain courage and discernment to recognise what is real and what is manufactured.
The difference becomes more subtle every day; almost energetic in nature.
In the same way a computer mouse will never truly replace a paintbrush, we believe generic sound will never replace the movement of hands shaped by decades devoted to an art form.
